Introducing Connelly Stirling!

ThINC

ThINC is fortunate to have Connelly Stirling this summer to coordinate, plan, and deliver our full Nature House program. Welcome Connelly!

Connelly grew up in Washington where her forested backyard provided ample space to explore the natural world. Her passion for the outdoors increased as she read the humorous and wildlife filled books of Farley Mowat. When Connelly moved to Vancouver, she found exploring the various habitats and species (especially slugs) in local parks exciting and rewarding. This led to her passion for conservation and animals, which are the focus of her current studies at UBC. Her courses this year sparked an interest in the connection between food, climate change, and people, which she hopes to explore on Thetis and beyond. In her free time, she enjoys walking, birding, and removing invasive species in local parks, as well as yoga and reading.
